Gracie Comes to School!

We had a very special guest visit us yesterday! Gracie came to school and had a great time playing math games, practicing flash cards, and she even got in our class picture for the yearbook! Gracie will hopefully be back to visit the next time we have a WOW! party or for Read-a-Thon!

 

App of the Day

Our app of the day is epic! Epic allows us to read, be read to, and listen to different books and magazines. This app is a huge database of age-appropriate books for students. They love using this app during their Daily 5 time. Eventually, I am hoping to incorporate this app into our small groups in order to do book studies!

Homework Investigators

We had another great round of homework research projects completed!! Students did a wonderful job researching and presenting their work to 2 other classes. Back to School!

Hello all!

I cannot believe that the first day of third grade is already over! The day flew by, but we had a great time getting to know each other! One of the first things I like to do is have the students help me come up with some expectations for our classroom. We spent part of our morning sharing ideas about what everyone needs to do to help our classroom run smoothly. After brainstorming, I then took our BIG list of ideas and organized it into six main expectations! We will refer to these throughout the year to make sure that everyone is making good choices.
